Arrived in Hua Hin

I enjoyed sleeping in until 9:00, were I just waited around and packed up, before checking out of my hotel at 11:30. I grabbed a taxi that took me to the van station. Originally, I was going to stay and go to my rotary clubs meeting at 12:00, but Meh Lek told me that the district governor for rotary district 3330 would be coming to visit today, and that there will be a lot of stress through to club. She thought I might get ignored and she didn't want that to happened. So I decided I wanted to get to Hua Hin as soon as possible. The van left at 12:00. I arrived around 3:30, after the van delivered lots of packages for people, stoped at least once every 20 minutes, and hit a stray dog on the freeway, probably killing it. Yes, I almost cried about that poor dogs probable death. I can say with certainty now, that I do not like going with Thailands public transportation.
On another note, once I arrived I searched on google maps to find my hostel. I asked one of the motorcycle taxis to drive me there, but he told me it would be easier to walk. He pointed me in the right direction. After today I can confirm that I am blind because I walked past the hostel once, couldn't find it, turned around and passed it again before walking back to the taxi station, and after I convinced the motorcycle taxi to take me and we passed it once again without either of us seeing it. I finally called the hostel and the driver found it no problem.

Up the street pointing west. There is a
night market along my street, and here they are setting
up for the evening.

Down the street towards the sea in the east.
Around 5:00 I headed to a market mile away. This market is more like the ones we have in the US. In order to by food you have to purchase coupons The market was in a very clean setting. There were some artists playing music. This venue and setting was a bit more relaxed then the past markets I've been too. Just look at the photos.
Just before sunset.

Finally! Moo Ping, or grilled pork.

It looks much cleaner then the other markets I've been to.

Selling pineapple juice. It was very tasty.

Selling bracelets.

Earrings

Believe it or not, but these are bags. Rubber purses! I wanted
to buy a fish one, but they really will only be good for coins.
My license wouldn't fit. I tried some of the shells as well, and same
dilemma. I will probably go here tomarrow and look at them again.

Booths that sell cloths are actually quite common in all markets.

As you can see, a much different atmosphere here then the other markets. I like this one, but everything is a little expensive. It is expensive though because most of these people are actually making what they are selling, or they had the inspiration for their products. I noticed here, that once people heard me speak Thai, I got a few deals. I bought a pair of shorts knocked down 10 baht because I could speak Thai. Granted, that is not even 50 cents, but still.
I left around 7:30 to my hotel by song teaow. A song teaow is a pickup truck that has been decked out with a roof for the people int back, accompanied with two rows of seats, and a little step up so you can easily climb into the back of the pick up. In more southern provinces of Thailand, song teaows are buses.
I ended the evening by joining in on game night with the hosts of the hostel. Every Friday night friends of the guests come over. I didn't understand much, but I had fun.
