Fisherman's Wharf

Image
On Wednesday morning we got a little bit of a late start to our day. Both of us knew that this whole day was saved for Pier 39, and didn't feel like we had to rush to beat the crowds. We left around 11:00 and our first stop was the Ghirardelli Square in Fishermans Wharf. This shopping center seemed fairly new with various tourists shops and trinkets and boutiques. For lunch we ate at the school of cheese and sampled some cheese as well. After lunch we stoped at the factory to split a sundae.  The giant sign adorning the square View from the shore After Ghirardelli we strolled along the strip mall, pausing to look at the souvenir stores. We came across various food vendors selling clam chowder and sea food, and it all looks so good. Golden Gate Bridge

On Tuesday JT and I decided to take trip to the Golden Gate Bridge. Before leaving we stoped for breakfast at Farm Table, and high end breakfast place. We arrived at the bridge by 11:30 for photos. Soon we started our journey across the bridge.  Looking toward the bridge from the south side.   From the north side   Add looking North When we arrived on the north side we called an Uber, an app taxi service. The driver couldn't find us at first and we had to call and try to figure it out. Once he picked us up he was quite talkative. He was born and raised in San Francisco. Once we started talking to him, he said her would give us a special tour of Lombard street for free. He took us on a private ride through the curvy road of Lombard before taking us to the original Swensen's ice cream store. (Swensen's is very popular in Thailand, and JT wanted to go to se the original store.) The driver was very nice to show us Lombard street for free.  Y

Ice Cream Museum and Shopping

On Monday we started off the morning with oatmeal and blueberries. We had bought tickets in advance for the MOIC  for 10:00 that morning. After our pick breakfast we headed toward the museum getting ready for lots of ice-cream. Upon entering we were offered ice cream samples to snack on while during photo taking. The museum used to be a bank Entrance  A fun photo spot  We were then led to the sprinkle pool for a pool filled with sprinkles! Great for photos and fun. From there the tour was self guided through different ice cream themes like rainbow sherbet, an ice cream diner, a cherry on top, and mint. It was a lot of fun exploring these spots and taking so many photos! Cherry on top Animal cracker carnival Rainbow and unicorns Mint chocolate chip mochi Floating in a pool of sprinkles After spending 2 hours in the MOIC we started to walk around downtown shopping. While looking around in Forever 21 I was approached by a lady asking if I would be her h

Golden Gate Park

On Sunday we got up early to get ready for a trip to the Golden Gate Park. We shopped at Trader Joes the night before to pack for our lunch so we wouldn't have to worry about where to eat. We Ubered to the park and got dropped off at the Japanese garden. We wondered through up and around the park, stopping at Strawberry Hill for lunch. We were both disappointed there there were no strawberries on Strawberry Hill. We wondered though the rose garden, although the one in my city is better, and continued on our way through the pool fields and the soccer fields. From the rose garden Strawberry Hill A cool water fall we found on Strawberry Hill Perfect for instagram A very unusual flower Our picnic The bridge from Strawberry Hill  As we arrived at the end of the park we came to Ocean Beach. Of course it was too cold to go swimming but we walked along the beach and enjoyed the sun and surrounding area. We wondered up to the Cliff House and found a Cam
