Cementerio de la Recoleta

We started off our day by walking to the Recoleta Cemetery. This cemetery is different than other typical cemeteries, because the tombs are all above ground. The block of cemetery is enclosed in a wall, and is maze like in its set up. The tomb vary in size and cleanliness. Some of the tombs were very well taken care of, others were falling apart. We spent about 3-4 hours just walking around the cemetery, enjoying the architecture and uniqueness of each tomb.

After, we went to lunch for Doch's birthday. We had a celebratory beer before traveling to a nearby museum and church to wander around. Soon after we wandered to a nearby park to watch the sunset. The day ended with a fun dinner and bar hopping event, and cake and more drinks back at the apartment. We had a great time celebrating Doch's birthday and walking around the city.
